The Lars Onsager Archive
 

The Lars Onsager Archive is deposited at the NTNU Library - Gunnerus Library in Trondheim. 

Lars Onsager (1903-76), Norwegian-American chemist and physicist. Born in Oslo, Ch.E. degree from Norges Tekniske Høiskole, Trondheim, in 1925. Emigrated to the USA and became an American citizen in 1945. J. Willard Gibbs Professor at Yale University. Received the 1968 Nobel Prize for Chemistry for work done in 1931 on irreversible thermodynamics.
 

Using the Archive
The archive is open to researchers, except for two boxes of sensitive material. If you want to inspect the archive material, please give notice at least one day in advance to allow the relevant boxes to be available. It is also possible to order copies of material.
